estled in Ledbury Road Notting Hill, is the super stylish, super chic chocolate shop ‘Melt’, oozing charm and modernity, luring you in with their sensuous window displays and beautiful interior. Louise Nason, founder, and Chika Watanabe head chocolatier keep the aim of ‘Melt’ simple- to give the customer fresh handmade chocolates of the best possible quality, believing ‘once you have tasted fresh chocolates you will accept nothing less.’

Chika recommends chocolate to be an ambient temperature in order to maximise both taste and consistency.
The team at Melt say: “You can only appreciate chocolate if you let it melt slowly in your mouth – so we encourage you to taste the best chocolate and eat it in a different, rather slower and more seductive way.”

In order to differentiate their chocolate from others, Melt produce all theirs fresh in the shop with their dedicated London kitchen always finding new and innovative ways to ensure their chocolate is of upmost quality.

One chocolate Melt have found to be a new craze is salt chocolate, the appeal being with the contrasting flavours complimenting each other to give a unique taste. Chika says the creation of these new flavours is one of the reasons she gave up her business orientated job in the city to become a chocolatier, loving the freedom to create and experiment.

With everything from chocolate lollipops to sea salt caramel bonbons (a beautiful creation of creamy sea salt caramel centred dark chocolate) Melt truly does have it all.

Alongside the more traditional chocolate flavourings are unusual blends such as olive and caramel, peanut and raspberry, and white chocolate with grapefruit.

And just to be sure that the chocolates are fresh, you can actually watch them being ingeniously crafted before you, learning a little whilst also taking in the different sensory appeals of the shop from sight to touch, to smell, and of course taste.
