Whilst the fish curry, macher jhol was delightful with tender fish in a mustardy sauce. We had a spicy and well textured dahl as a side dish together with the pilau rice was more than enough.

For dessert, I particularly enjoyed the saffron and almond custard which accompanied my fruit salad. Throughout I drank a fabulously refreshing chai, but there is a limited wine and beer list and some cocktails if you want something stronger.

The upstairs café is quite informal, you could happily drop in for a quick lunch here, or spend some time relaxing enjoying the lively atmosphere. And, the prices were very realistic with street food dishes around £3.00 to £5.00 and main courses around £8 outperforming their budget price tag.
