The pefect pop up for an office lunch or meal out with friends... BY FIONA MACLEAN
f you’ve always wanted to try a pop-up restaurant but can’t quite reach to funding Noma at Claridges or the French Laundry at Harrods every day or don’t fancy treking out to East London, here’s a great opportunity for you.Food Spectrum, who manage the Endurance are currently hosting Blanch and Shock food design.
Now, you may unwittingly have eaten some of their food before – at a festival or private dinner, but, this is their own show…they chose the menu to showcase their principles of edgy British food using as much local produce as possible. And the great thing for Londoners is that the Endurance is right in the centre of Soho, perfect for lunch.I went along and was impressed by the creative dishes – nitro-sponge with cod’s roe and sea lettuce, hay potatoes, cured bream with watercress and pickled radishes. And even more impressed that you could pick and choose from as many of the small plates you wanted. Prices are from £2.00 for amuse bouche
